Gee by Girl’s Generation
I don’t want to be that girl who becomes obsessed with Asian culture. Not real Asian culture of course, but the Harajuku and the KPop and the anime. I mean, I find Western girls who are into all that quite amusing, and in reality, it’s all very fascinating. But that girl has become such a cliche that I really don’t want to be one.
It’s so hard to not be into it though when Korea keeps spurting out cuties like this. What a freaking ADORABLE film clip. The colours and the choreographed dancing and the Asian poses! I feel like this is what Disney stars should be. Screw Miley Cyrus rubbing herself and pole dancing, these girls are so innocent and sweet. And they prove that you can wear short shorts and dress head to toe in Supre and do a few little butt-popping movements and not look like a slut.
It’s all about innocence and being cheeky and having crushes (I hope - cos I’m not really sure what they’re saying). I don’t understand why Western society feel the need to market entire girl groups to young kids in this way when something like Girl’s Generation is so much more fun.
